Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp’s ‘Landmarks’ exhibition captures some of the area’s finest hidden treasures, including the famous Chrome Hill, Park House Hill and Eagle Stone near Baslow.

Part of Buxton Museum’s ‘Derbyshire Landscapes – Then and Now’ programme, the exhibition opened at the Terrace Road gallery on Saturday, and runs until May 5.

Speaking of the exhibition, Ingrid said: “I am delighted my work will be on display among work from some of the finest artists from around the region.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of this celebration of local landmarks.”

Using her signature narrative style of art, Ingrid’s ‘Landmarks’ series depicts a selection of hidden Peak District stories; from small details; marks in the landscape; man-made legacies; and the legends around Dovedale where she lives and works.

The exhibition also includes work based on Ingrid’s observations made during her journeys around the coasts of Britain, as well as her native Northern Sweden.

Admission to the exhibition is free.

Ingrid will also hold two ‘meet the artist’ sessions, on Tuesday March 18 between 11am and 1pm, and Friday April 11 from 2pm until 4pm. Booking is not required.
