Bands and fans soak up the beats at sun-soaked Chesterfest in Queen’s Park

Blistering beats are ringing out across a sun-drenched Chesterfield’s Queen’s Park tonight (Saturday, August 8) as a music fest gets into full swing.

Bands and soloists from across Derbyshire have brought their musical and vocal talents to Chesterfest.

First up on the main stage this afternoon was the chlll-out, dance vibe of solo tunemeister ZSB, followed by an impressive performance from Derby trio The Rubble and fellow noise merchants Life Story Piracy from Buxton.

In the acoustic tent, guitarist/singer-songwriter Charles Hibberd entertained the crowd with original songs about Whisky and Red Hair - Ed Sheeran had better watch out!

Chesterfest is running until 9pm this evening.
