Award-winning violinist Pike to perform at Royal Concert Hall

Violin soloist Jennifer Pike will be joining forces with the Prague Symphony Orchestra for a performance at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Friday, November 27.

The latest in the Nottingham Classics season starts at 7.30pm and will be conducted by Pietari Inkinnen.

Jennifer Pike, who won the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2002 at the age of just 12, will be performing Beethoven’s timeless Violin Concerto with the orchestra.

The concert also features performances of Sarka, one of the most vivid parts of Smetana’s symphonic cycle of tone poems, Ma Vlast, plus the First Symphony of Inkinne’s fellow countryman Jean Sibelius.

The work did much to establish Sibelius as composer on the world stage.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets to see the orchestra in action are £10-£34.50.
