Talented performers at Frederick Gent School in South Normanton are fine-tuning their performances for their two-night showcase of High School Musical Jr.
The lively musical production takes place at the school on the nights of July 17 and 18.
Building on the outstanding success of last year’s production of Annie Jnr and after months of rehearsals, the story of the East High pupils and their relationships and trials is ready to be put on stage by the talented dancers, singers and actors that Freddies boasts in abundance.
Head of music Ross Donaldson believes this will top the acclaimed production of Annie Jnr that wowed audiences last year and be the most polished performance the school has ever produced. He said: “This is a very difficult musical to stage but the efforts of the pupils have really paid off, and we have a show full of energy and fun. High School Musical Jnr is the perfect way to celebrate the end of the academic year!”
Tickets are available from the school’s reception for £3.50 and the show begins at 7pm. For further details contact the school on 01773 811737.
