Following a West End run, the lively children’s show Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales is touring to Buxton.
Toe-tapping tunes, funky moves and giggles are guaranteed as audiences are taken on an imaginative adventure down under the sea, out on the farm and into the jungle.
Based on some of the best-loved books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the show by Scamp Theatre weaves together live music, puppetry and a whole host of colourful characters from some of their best-loved titles: Tiddler, Monkey Puzzle, The Smartest Giant in Town and A Squash and a Squeeze.
Julia Donaldson is a British writer and performer; she won the 2011–2013 Children’s Laureate and is the prize-winning author of some of the world’s most-loved children’s
books, most notably the modern classic The Gruffalo which has sold over five million copies worldwide.
Scamp Theatre offer a range of productions with a focus on children’s literature.
Tiddler & Other Terrific Tales, suitable for children aged three years and upwards, is at Buxton Opera House on June 1 and 2. The Wednesday performance is at 4.30pm and the Thursday performances are at 11am and 2.30pm.
