Local legend has it that Jane Austen stayed in one of the The Rutland Arms Hotel rooms whilst writing her most famous novel, Pride and Prejudice. Today it offers locally sourced produce, where possible, for its award winning menus. There is a fine dining option available at The Square restaurant and a selection of hot and cold food also served at The Gateway Bar.
