A new year brings a new season of plays to tempt audiences to the theatre.
Chesterfield’s Pomegranate launches its spring play season next week.
The season opens on January 14 with the farce Who’s Who, written by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall. Presented by Rumpus Theatre Company, the comedy of mistaken identity revolves around two friends staying in a hotel. One of them is having an affair, the other is there to help him cover it up. Who’s Who runs until January 18.
In Praise Of Love, written by Terence Rattigan and inspired by the true-life relationship between Rex Harrison and Kay Kendall, will be staged by Talking Scarlet from January 28 to February 1.
The season ends with chilling drama, The Turn Of The Screw by Henry James. Presented byTABS Productions from February 4 to 8, it is based on a governess who sees spectres resembling the former valet and governess.
Each play will have evening performances at 7.30pm and matinee performances on Wednesdays at 2pm and Saturdays at 3pm.
