FUN-SEEKERS have given a warm welcome to Derbyshire’s newest comedy club, at The Fishpond, in Matlock Bath.
Organiser Anthony J. Brown said: “The first comedy night was rammed full of punters and was a great success.”
The second Stagefright Comedy Club evening will be held on Wednesday, August 15, at 8pm.
Craig Murray, from the Plusnet telly adverts and one of the hottest rising talents on the comedy circuit, will headline the show.
He is an instant crowd pleaser with a charismatic, mock-confrontational style guaranteed to wreak havoc on the funny bone.
Also on the bill is Elliot J. Huntley, who will be bringing an array of highly inventive tell-tales and gently twisted punchlines regarding relationships, fatherhood and hanging around low quality nightclubs.
There will be rib-tickling wordplay from relaxed performer Glenn Moore and gag master Richard Jow, winner of Mr Ben’s Gong Show.
The evening’s compering is in the experienced hands of man in black Anthony J. Brown, a regular contributor to Radio 2’s The Arthur Smith Lectures and winner of the Jongleurs/ Metro Stand & Deliver Award.
Admission to the show is £6. Contact 01629 581 529.
