Award-winning Canadian trio The East Pointers bring their “energy-fuelled show” to Sheffield’s Greystones next week fresh from the release of single Two Weeks.

The band – fiddler/singer Tim Chaisson, banjo player Koady Chaisson and guitarist Jake Charron – won the traditional roots album of the year title at the 2017 JUNO awards, as well as the 2016 ensemble of the year title at the Canadian folk awards.

They have just released the video from Two Weeks, the latest single from their second album, What We Leave Behind.

Talking about the new video, the band said: ““Right before we recorded our album, we sat down with our good buddy and producer Gordie Sampson and had a good chat about some of the challenges so many people experience working away from home. “It certainly can be tough - maintaining a relationship, raising a family or keeping your general wellbeing strong while you’re away from your loved ones.”

Tickets are £15 on the door or £13 in advance from mygreystones.co.uk
