WHAT better way to spend a Sunday than listening to chilled-out jazz tunes, filling your face and browsing over the papers?
A Jazz Brunch will be hosted at Club Chesterfield, Chester Street, Chesterfield, on Sunday, October 14, at 11.30am.
Held in conjunction with the Chatsworth Road Festival, the event will feature the Steve Salfield Quartet. The jazz combo includes Steve Salfield on sax, Wendy Kirkland on piano, Pat Sprakes on double bass and Clive Loveday on drums.
Steve, who played sax in his school jazz band and flute in the Derbyshire Youth Orchestra, played alongside Bryan Ferry in The Gas Board while at university and later alongside Sting, who played bass, in the Newcastle Big Band.
The brunch menu will include croissants, preserves, sausage and bacon cobs, tea, coffee and orange juice.
Sunday papers will be included in the ticket price of £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s. There’s free admission for under 5s. Tickets are available from www.chesterfieldjazz.com
