Festival. Cutthorpe festival weekend continues at 2pm with a fair, children’s entertainer, children’s zoo, birds of prey, model aircraft display, classic cars, dog show and more. The well dressing will be open all weekend and cream teas will be available.

Eyam Open Gardens. 11am-5pm. Many varied gardens (including Eyam Hall’s walled garden) Set in Eyam’s historic ‘Plague Village’. Lunches, refreshments, cakes and plant sales. Tickets £4.

7th Brampton Potteries Festival. To be opened by The Mayor and Mayoress at 12 noon near Serpent Motors, Old Road, Brampton. Displays on the theme of TV Programmes will be all along Old Road. Summer Fayre, ploughman’s lunches and afternoon teas in The Gospel Mission Church.

Coffee Morning and Lunch. St Barnabas Church, Albert Road, New Whittington, 11am until 1pm. Come and enjoy tea or coffee or a lunch of hot pork cobs, cold cobs with a choice of filling and cakes and best of all a chance to sit and chat amongst friends.

Palm Court Concert. Barrow Hill Methodist Church. Tickets can be bought in advance on 07967 556614. Admission is £7.50 and includes sit down tea after the show. The music covers a golden era of music including: Gershwin, Berlin, Kern, Novello and Elgar to name just a few. Everyone will be made welcome and is ensured of a great afternoon.
