Multi-platinum singer and songwriter Jason Derulo has suffered an injury to his neck and has been forced to cancel all touring, including his date at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.
The 22-year-old Miami native injured himself last Tuesday while training for his upcoming World Tour in support of his current album Future History.
While executing an acrobatic move, Derulo landed directly on his head, and suffered an acute fracture to his vertebra. After being rushed to Memorial West Hospital in Miami’s Pembroke Pines, FL, he was told by doctors that the accident could have left him paralysed. Derulo has been released from the hospital but must wear a neck brace for the next few months.
His date at the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield on Saturday, February 25, has been cancelled. Customers who booked tickets for his show at the arena are asked to return the tickets to the point of purchase for a full refund.
