A stage adaptation of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s modern classic Our Country’s Good will be performed in Sheffield as part of a tour.

It’s the extraordinary true story of a group of convicts and a young officer who rehearse and perform a play – Australia’s first theatrical production. With opposition from the officers and a leading lady who may be hanged, the odds are stacked against them.

Our Country’s Good runs at the Crucible Theatre from May 12 to 19 and features the creative use of audio description, British Sign Language and captions.

Tickets are priced from £15 (limited availability) and can be bought from Sheffield Theatres’ box office in person, by phone on 0114 243 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk
