Winster’s chamber choir, the Wyns Tor Singers, will be joined by classical flautist Henrik Linnemann for their summer concert.
The performance is at St John’s Church, Winster, on Saturday, May 19, at 7.30pm.
A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Henrik has settled in Sheffield, working in film, radio and theatre as well as teaching music.
He will be performing pieces by Bach, Ravel and Schostakovich among others.
The choir will again be singing a wide range of music, from old masters Palestrina and Victoria, through to some of the best modern composers. On the way the singers will take in some old American folk tunes and John Rutter’s hauntingly beautiful Childhood lyrics.
Tickets £8 from Winster Post Office or on the door.
