GET your Sundays off to a chilled start with the sounds of jazz and brunch.
Chesterfield Jazz Club are running two jazz brunches this coming season at Club Chesterfield, off Ashgate Road.
The first is on October 6, when award-winning trumpet player Andy Derrick will team up with the Organik Trio for a session of soulful, bluesy jazz with a funky tinge.
There will be a Christmas jazz brunch on December 22 with vocalist Gary Grace who was voted the UK’s Tony Bennett by the Tony Bennett Appreciation Society.
As well as the cool sounds of jazz, spectators will be able to enjoy the leisurely Sunday activities of reading papers and tucking into food. The menu includes croissants, preserves, sausage or bacon cob (vegetarian sausage option), muffins, tea and coffee.
The jazz lunches run from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Tickets £10 (adult) and £5 (children 5-12), under 5s (free).
Chesterfield Jazz Club’s concert season continues with a jazz/funk quartet featuring Stuart MacDonald on September 19, Nicki Allan on October 17 and Rod Mason on November 21.
