Shirebrook Miners Welfare Unison Brass Band are set to bring Shirebrook alive with an evening of top class entertainment in aid of Bolsover District Council’s Chairman Ken Walker’s charity Prostate Cancer.

Taking place at the Sports Direct Auditorium in Shirebrook on Friday 10 October, the concert will start at 7.30pm and costs £5 per person.

Bolsover District Council Chairman, Councillor Ken Walker, said: “The Shirebrook Miners Welfare Unison Brass Band were wonderful when they accompanied the Halle Orchestra back in July as part of the world premiere ‘Shirebrook – A Living Heritage’ so if you didn’t catch them then, this is a perfect opportunity to see what you missed.

“All the proceeds go towards a very worthwhile charity, Prostate Cancer, so please come along with friends and family to support a noble cause.”

Tickets are available from any of the council’s Contact Centres or by telephoning (01246) 242276 or 242401, or calling Councillor Ken Walker on 01623 742889.
