Organisers of gigs which brought Gomez singer Ben Ottewell back to the Derbyshire Dales at the weekend are promoting the launch of a band’s debut EP.
Alternative rock band Echoed in Earth will plug their new release, which is entitled Tidal Wave, at The Loft, Matlock, on Saturday, January 16.
Admission is free to the gig which also features The King Bains and has been organised by Ale House Rocks Festival.
Echoed in Earth are a five-piece alternative rock band hailing from Matlock. Originally the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist Mike McMaster and guitarist Matt Mason, the band bloomed into a full outfit with the addition of bass player Ed Coleman, drummer Graham Stocks and guitarist Dan Hughes and around 50 guitar effects pedals to create the full sonic assault that the band brings to their live shows and recordings.
After a year of blood, sweat, tears, broken arms and a baby, the band have finally finished their five-track EP, Tidal Wave, copies of which will be available to purchase at The Loft.
The King Bains, a bluesy duo comprising James Harrison (guitar/vocals) and Mike Dolton (drums), are promising a surprise for the night, meaning their support slot will be unmissable. The outfit blew away the audience at The Ale House Rocks Festival in September.
