There’s a large selection of stalls in the Winding Wheel auditorium selling clothes, hats and shoes, displays of wartime souvenirs and dancing upstairs in the ballroom.

Parked outside the town’s museum is a selection of vintage cars and military vehicles and inside are further exhibitions of wartime memorabilia.

There’s a dance in the Winding Wheel this evening, featuring the Ashby ‘little’ Big Band, starting at 8.15pm.

The blast from the past continues tomorrow (Sunday) with the 1940 & Vintage Fair in the Winding Wheel, displays at the museum from 10am to 4pm and the D-Day Darlings: The Songs that Won the War concert in the Pomegranate Theatre at 2pm.
