Belgian orchestra to launch new season

The first concert in the 2016-2017 Nottingham Classics season is to take place at the Royal Concert Hall on Wednesday, September 28.

Starting at 7.30pm, the concert is to be given by the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Stephane Deneve.

The programe features performances of four richly contrasting works.

You can hear Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, the ‘Pastoral’, one of the composer’s greatest works, plus two pieces by Guillaume Connesson: Flammenschrift and E chiaro nella valle il fiume appare.

The concert concludes with Respighi’s epic Pines Of Rome.
