Travelling players from a top Shakespearean company will be staging one of the Bard’s comedies in an outdoor setting.

Shakespeare’s Globe will present As You Like It at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton (opposite the Opera House) from July 1 to 3 at 6pm.

Performed on an Elizabethan-style stage, the production features pastoral romance, cross-dressing and love notes, poetry and gentle satire, slapstick and passion.

Spectators are advised to bring their own low-backed seatg or rug.
