Youngsters invited to netball training

High Peak Netball Club are gearing up for the upcoming season as they start up training again next week for children in school years five and six.

The first session takes place on Monday September 9 from 4-5pm.

Training is held at the Buxton Community School gymnasium.

This year the tournaments are in the first part of the season with the first ‘High 5’ Grand Prix taking place on October 5 at Buxton.

Children who attended last year’s training are all welcome.

The club is also holding a six week course for younger players.

They will be running a Fundamentals Course to help children to catch and throw through playing games involving throwing and catching and ball control. All children are welcome to the sessions which will be held on Mondays from 5-6pm starting on Monday September 9.

There are competitions for under 12, under 14 and under 16 teams with some of those set to to start in September, with other county tournaments pencilled in for November.
