Wins for Price pair


Brother and sister Chris and Vicky Price, recent new signings for Chesterfield AC, each won the pole vault when representing the East Midlands in a match against SE Poland, Kingston-on-Hull and a Guest Select team at Hull, writes Frank Gorman.

Nathan Pentin and Jordan Spolding were also selected for the EM team.

Results for CDAC athletes: U20M: Chris Price 1st pole vault 3.70m; Jordan Spolding 3rd pole vault 3.60m (pb), 5th javelin 45.41m (pb); Nathan Pentin 3rd triple jump 11.17m(pb), 4th pole vault 3.50m, 7th javelin 35.66m. U17W: Vicky Price 1st pole vault 2.80m.

Team CDAV, a joint team with Amber Valley & Erewash AC, came second in a very closely contested National Junior League match for U20s in difficult conditions at Tamworth.

Match result: Charnwood 442, Team CDAV 422, Mansfield 410.5, Central Mercia 374.5, Stoke 284, Team Arrows 66, Team DMACK 11.

Birchfield Harriers Open: U13B: Brandon Lewis 1st long jump 4.24m, 1st high jump 1.40m (currently 5eq in the UK rankings with his best of 1.45m).
