Jonathan Smith will play, having inked an 18-month deal with the Spireites this week.

Allen also talked about the potential addition of a new player or two, having had a £50k bid for one turned down in the past few days.

He discussed Sheffield United loanee Jake Bennett, who got injured in his first Spireites training session, and is yet to return to the Proact from Bramall Lane.

And the manager revealed that he’s planning a tweak to his team’s style of play for this home game, with an emphasis on his ‘technical’ players who can bring skill to the attack.
