Turner’s revolution gathers pace

Arrows U16s 84,

Scarborough Seahawks 32

The Arrows U16 basketball team continued its progress under new coach Danny Turner by completing consecutive wins, this time over the Scarborough Seahawks by 84-32.

The Arrows had Gareth Williams, Joe Murray and Junior on debuts as they overwhelmed the Seahawks who were making their first visit to Killamarsh Sports Centre.

Mitchell Dennison had 30 points and Will Hopper 20 to lead the Arrows who will look forward to the visit of Durham on Saturday.

Arrows U14s 46,

Doncaster Danum Eagles 50

This was a great performance by the fast improving Arrows who had lost by 40 to the same opposition before Christmas.

They trailed for much of the game but did enough to get themselves ahead narrowly with six minutes to play before narrowly losing out by 50-46.

Aiden Dennison with 16 points led the Arrows and he was well supported by Zak Adan with ten.

Arrows U18s 66,

Bradford Dragons 38

The Arrows remained unbeaten in 2011 and second in the division as they proved much too strong for Bradford for the second week running this time at home by 66-38. The third quarter proved decisive as the Arrows took it 29-9 to ease to victory.

Anton Smith led all scorers in the game with 23 points while Sam Baddeley added eight. This win moves the Arrows to 9-3 but they face Durham this Saturday in another crucial game.
