Thurnham nets hat-trick


In the cold frosty weather condition , when any grass football game was a complete non starter, the superb artificial 3G pitch at Gosforth Fields again meant that three games went ahead for Dronfield Town.

The Over 35s went back to the top of the league thanks to a 4-1 win over Bistro Old Boys. Dale Thurnham with a hat-trick and one from Paul Slowe.

Dronfield U18s came into their cup quarter final as underdogs against high flying Brunsmeer, but were excellent, winning 5-3 after extra time.

With the scores level at 3-3 after 90 minutes, Town turned up the heat to deservedly march in to the last four. Sam Bebbington the star with three, and each one from Jack Lambert and George Talbot.

Town U18 Girls suffered cup semi final heartache going down 1-0 to Sheffield United Junior Blades from the A division.
