The winning of this prestigious competition was the highlight of a great season that also saw them crowned Derbyshire Team Champions, winners of the Duffield Shield, and runners-up in the Derbyshire Junior Matchplay Team Championships.

Captained by Josh Ashton, who is the current Derbyshire Boys Strokeplay and Match Play champion, the Tapton Juniors were also named the Chesterfield Junior Team of the Year at the Recent Chesterfield Sports Awards.

They were invited to see Mayor of Chesterfield, Coun Steve Brunt, who said: “It is great to see be able to celebrate golfing success for our town and to see so much young talent developing within our borough.
