Chariman recognised with prestigious award

Ron Chapman, the current chairman of the Chesterfield and District Table Tennis League, has been awarded the prestigious Maurice Goldstein Award by the English Table Tennis Association for services to the sport.

Mr Chapman was presented with the award at the recently held presentation evening at the Proact Stadium. Other award winners were as follows;

Men’s Singles Champion – Tim Denby, R/U – Jake Meikle; Ladies Singles Champion – Isobel Ashley, R/U - Pat Thorley; Men’s Doubles Champions – Shaun Bibby & Jamie Smith, R/U - Jake Meikle & Tim Denby; Ladies Doubles Champions – Isobel Ashley& Jayden Budworth, R/U - Pat Thorley & Amber Zygadlo; Mixed Doubles Champions – Mike Bradbury & Jayden Budworth, R/U - Tim Denby & Isobel Ashley; Veterans Champion (Over 50) -Keith Bradshaw, R/U - Joe Zygadlo; Veterans Champion (Over 40)- Shaun Bibby, R/U - Mike Bradbury; Handicap Singles Champion- Amber Zygadlo, R/U – Lauren Banks; Junior Boy of the Year – Charlie Gaynor; Junior Girl of the Year – Charlotte Henry; Under 21’s Champion – Jake Meikle, R/U - Isobel Ashley; Junior Doubles Champions – Mark Firth & Edward Davison, R/U – Isobel Ashley & Daniel Brown; Under 18 Boys Champion – Tim Denby, R/U – Mark Firth; Under 18 Girls Champion – Isobel Ashley, R/U – Amber Zygadlo; U15 Boy’s Champion Adam Jolley, R/U – Joe Bray
