Sunshine week for Chesterfield GC captains' days

Chesterfield Golf Club captains Martin Bonynge and Tracey Warwick were blessed with glorious sunshine for their week of celebrations and competitions.

Winner of Captain’s Day on Sunday was John Otterwell (pictured above with Chesterfield captain Martin Bonynge), pipping Steve Hayward on back nine countback after both carded impressive scores of net 68 on the firm and bouncy course.

Club professional Shane Naisbett won best gross with a four over par 75. Howard Pickering won best Stableford. Junior captain Jack Barker-Sabido was named best junior. Graham Dunks won the Captain’s Extra Day.

Ladies Captain’s Day took place on Tuesday. Pippa Sutherland took the honours in the overall competition for the best nett score. Alex Williams won the prize for best gross.

Stableford prizes were won by Kelly-Ann Thring, Margaret Grindell and Chris Heathcote.

Lady President Liz Robinson and Tim Roberts won the Victory Cup.
