Speedway fundraiser deemed a success
The event was organised by former Hitman captain Dean Felton with the aim to raise as much money as possible in order for the club to purchase a mandatory airfence, as per new incoming rules for the 2014 season.
Without the fence in place, the club will be unable to compete during what it hopes will be a 20th anniversary season.

Hide AdFelton approached a number of riders with regards to their interest in participating in the event.
Riders were permitted to ride any ride of their choice with all cash received through tickets and sponsorship going straight into the airfence fund.
Hitmen boss Jayne Moss said: “It was a great day for everyone. Some of the riders hadn’t ridden for a number of years but they all put on a show for the spectators and enjoyed themselves in what was our last meeting of the season.
“Our thanks go to everyone who helped make the day such a success. A special thanks must go to Dean who spent a lot of time and effort in organising the whole event which swelled the fund considerably.

Anyone who is interested in sponsoring a panel of the fence can do so for £450.
