HONG Kong star Ng On Yee left the powerhouses of women’s snooker trailing in her wake at the Northern Championship.
But the 22-year-old insisted there is still “more to improve” in her game despite knocking out the top two ranked players on the World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association circuit.
Ng’s first top scalp at the NE Derbyshire Snooker Centre, Clay Cross, was Reanne Evans. After beating the nine-time world champion for the first time in the last-four, she won four frames from 2-0 down to see off world number one and defending UK champion Maria Catalano in the final.
Ng said: “I’m very happy that I won the title and beat the world number one and number two.”
The two-time IBSF women’s world champion’s only previous WLBSA ranking title was last year’s Northern Championship.
