Bakewell Mannerians recorded a narrow victory at rivals Dronfield on Saturday in the Midlands Division Two East (North).
An 18-15 win in favour of the travelling Bakewell saw them climb the table one place to fifth from bottom, whereas Dronfield slipped two places to third from bottom.
League leaders Matlock continued their march to the title with a 43-0 win at home to Stamford that put them three points clear at the top of the table.
Chesterfield Panthers dropped a place in the Midlands Division Three East (North) after a nailbiting 26-23 defeat at home to Southwell, who jumped above them in the table. Elsewhere in the league, Derbyshire neighbours Amber Valley suffered a crushing 107-0 defeat at second-placed Lincoln to remain at the foot of the table with five games to go.
Tupton’s trip to Long Eaton was postponed in Midlands Division Four East (North). They host Rolls Royce on Saturday (February 28).
Amber Valley are at home to Mellish, Chesterfield host Grimsby, Matlock travel to Ashbourne, Bakewell entertain Loughborough and Dronfield visit Coalville.
