One-two for Derbyshire cycling duo at regional schools championship

Darley Moor Sports Centre was the setting for this year's British Schools Cycling Association East Midlands Regional Championships on Sunday.

The event, promoted by Matlock Cycling Club, saw the best school riders from across the region battle it out for honours across different age groups.

Dronfield Henry Fanshawe students Ryan Williams and Joshua Williams took first and second places respectively in the under-13 age group in both the time trial (10 miles) and circuit race.

That’s two titles each for the boys this year with Joshua winning the East Midlands Mountain Bike and Grass Track championship.

Next up is the Hill Climb Championship in September.
