Mowbray pots re-spot back to seal victory


There was an exciting finish in the Team Knockout Group Two semi-final between the experienced Newbold Community B and the youngsters of HustlersD.

After good wins by Maurice Wildman, Colin Scatergood and Graham Cousins, Newbold seemed to have booked their place in the final.

But in frame four, young Danny Riley won by 30 points to give Hustlers a chance.

In the in the final frame, Ken Bargh needed pink to win the match for Newbold but he missed the pot and Josh Mowbray potted the last two colours to tie the match and he potted the re-spotted black to put Hustlers in the final.

The Group One semi final went as expected as Division Three side New Whitt took on Division One side nedsc A, with Nigel Bond back in the side after a tour of China.

This match saw the Division O side easily booking thier place against Hustlers A, in the fina.

Meanwhile, Division One saw shirebrook, take on an improving Grassmoor, and run out 3-2 winners.

Hustlers are now in a comanding postion in Division five and in a league ko competition, a fantastic feat for the young guns,
