Buxton Raceway’s second meeting of the year provided some excellent entertainment on Sunday.
In the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars formula, current world champion Mickey Brennan managed second place in heat one and third place in heat two, before winning the meeting final.
Junior Rods were racing for their Northern Championship and current points leader Oliver Crowley took a win in heat one, second in heat two, and led from pole to the chequered flag in the final. He was followed across the line by Jordan Charlesworth and Amy Carr.
The first race in the 1300 Saloons went to a visiting driver from Skegness, Stuart Hodgson, while Buxton driver Vinnie Lawson won heat two. The final was an epic race with the lead changing many times, before visitor Dan Mitchell took the chequered flag.
Also returning to Buxton were the two-litre Bangers, with another Buxton competitor, Dan Smith, claiming a win in heat one, second place in heat two and third place in the meeting final, won by Cannock’s Tom Hannah.
The next Buxton Raceway meeting is on Bank Holiday Monday April 1 and will feature BriSCA F2 Stock Cars, Super Bangers with their Northern and Midland Championship Final, Bombers with their ramp race final, RookiRods, Junior Rods and the Lady Bombers also with their Northern and Midland Final.
