The 18-year-old Amigos Team Parker ace travels to Snetterton in Norfolk after a fantastic first part of the season in which he reaped the rewards of a switch to Porsche from the Ginetta Championships.

So far, he has raced at Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Monza Italy and Oulton Park in Cheshire, showing an improvement as the campaign has progressed.

In his final outing before the summer break, Perez bagged an impressive victory at Oulton Park in race one in the pro am title. It was his third victory of the season and was complemented by another podium spot in race two, taking third place after an intense battle for the lead. It means he is now just seven points shy of the championship lead going into this weekend.

After Oulton, Perez said: “It was a tough weekend, but I was really pleased that I made the most of it, no matter what was thrown at me. I am now looking forward to the second part of the season.”

Perez left Cheshire in third place in the pro am standings and also third in the rookie driver standings, while Amigos Team Parker Racing sit in second place in the entrant championship.

After Snetterton, further rounds of the Porsche championship follow at Knock Hill in Scotland in August and Silverstone and Brands Hatch in September.
