Chesterfield rally crew Lee and Craig Burgess competed in the Premier rally at Clipstone in the final event of the season.

Both are members of the Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club who meet at Heage. They have competed in the East Midland Association of Motor Club’s Rally Championship and finished third overall in their first in a new class, having moved up to the more powerful four wheel drive machinery in their Subaru Impreza

They started the day seeded in car 15 and by the end of the first stage were up to tenth overall, They continued to get higher up the leader board throughout the day finishing a creditable 8th overall behind more powerful machinery.

The conditions were very wet and muddy after the recent rain making tricky driving conditions for all the crews. They have sighted the Wyedean rally, based around Chepstow, the first event of the BTRDA national championship in 2015, as their first race of the new year.
