Buxton’s Neil Addy came away from the opening round of action at Darley Moor with two second-place finishes in the Sound of Thunder class at the weekend.
The first racing of the year at the circuit on Sunday saw Steven Hill of Runcorn take wins in both races ahead of Addy in second and Gary Dangerfield in third.
The hardy spectators at the circuit over a cold Easter weekend were treated to a double bill of superb racing with 16 out of a total of 42 races over the two days having a winning margin of less than a second.
Action that was enjoyed by the crowds during the weekend included the Peak Cup, the Formula 600 races and the 125cc race.
Round three of the Championship will take place on Bank Holiday Monday May 6.
The cost of adult admission to Darley Moor for all meetings, except the end of season Stars at Darley meeting, is £11 per day, children under-16 free, senior citizens £6. Parking and Paddock Transfer is free and a programme costs £3.
