Racing driver Mike Rouse is aiming for trophies when he competes in the MG Car Club’s Cockshoot Cup Championship.
Mike, from Dronfield, begins his campaign at Donnington Park on Easter Monday and he will driving hard behind the wheel at further rounds at Oulton Park, Croft and the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone.
The championship, dating back to the nineteen thirties and has one of the oldest trophies in motorsport.
Mike said “The championship caters for a variety of MG cars from the forties right up to the modern day and it’s great fun pitting my MGF/TF against other MGs from different eras.
“To keep the cost down, the rules only allow minimum changes to the cars, so we don’t need a Formula 1 budget! The MG marque is alive and well and the competition is intense.”
