Kickboxing club East Midlands Freestyle had a successful day at the European Championships held at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge.
Leading the way was 10-year-old Millie Yates who won both a silver medal and bronze medal in her two categories.
Club coach Brian Slaney also won silver medal in his category. Ewan McInnes, 10, then won a bronze medal followed by nine-year-old Demi-Lee Maggi also winning bronze.
Four other members of the team narrowly missed the medals finishing fourth during the event which fielded the very best martial artists from around Europe.
Millie and Brian will now fly to Italy in October to represent Team England at the 2014 Unified World Championships.
