Malc and Mick win pair title

Malcolm Smith and Mick White were victorious in a pairs bowling competition at Staveley Hall Crown Green Bowling club.

In the final they faced Paul Brown and Graham Parker and the winning duo received the Bob Smith Trophy and the plaques from Graeme Challands who was representing Staveley Town Council.

The event, part of the Staveley Feast celebrations, was blessed with sunny weather and attracted competitors from the host club, Mastin Moor, King Georges and Lowgates clubs.

Thanks go to Staveley Town Council and their caterers for providing the buffet lunch, Bob Smith for providing the trophies and raffle prizes and Jamie Holland Flooring (Wolverhampton) for sponsoring the event.

Maureen and Malc Smith also deserve a mention for organising the event. As in previous years all profits made at the will be donated to charity.
