Kirsten Gambles was on top form when she won the Vale Angling Club U16 annual competition.
Fifteen angers took part and Kirsten was the overall winner and landed the largest fish, a magnificent 18lb 7oz specimen.
The event was held at Carr Vale pond, Bolsover, where J Robertson gained second place while in third spot was T Sheldon.
All those who took part were treated to a free barbeque and drinks and were given great prizes which were donated by various sponsors including the medals which where supplied by the Blue Bell Inn, Bolsover.
Thanks are due to the team of volunteers who ensured that the competition ran smoothly.
They are chef Glyn Kestle, Tom Morris, Howard Gambles, Nev Pantin, Paul Chadwick, Robin Thomsett, Mick Leaning, the organiser Neil Dymond, elected ward representatives Cllrs Dixon and Stevenson and Derbyshire County Council for their generous improvement grants.
