Jake wins two star event

Congratulations go to Jake Meikle who has won the Stiga Two Star tournament.

The event was played at the Halton Table Tennis Centre where Chesterfield-based Jake, 16, the current Derbyshire men’s singles champion, was in fine form against a strong entry.

Seeded number eight he dispatched with the number one seed Jamie Davies in the semi-final 3-1 before defeating the number four seed Tom Hill 3-0 in the final
