Preparations for the new cricket season start at 6pm on Sunday at Tupton Hall School when junior players are invited to take part in pre-season training with Chesterfield Cricket Club.
The sessions will be supervised by James Colton, who has been a Derbyshire Cricket Board coach for the past three years and who plays for the Chesterfield club, and there will be close support from age group coaches.
Any boys or girls who were 15 or younger on September 1, 2011, are welcome to join this first session on Sunday or come to any of the following Sundays through to Easter.
The training is split into age groups of U15, U13, U12, U11 and Kwik (softball) with the youngest normally being 7-9 year olds playing the softball version of the game.
An initial taster session is provided free of charge although there is thereafter a charge of £15 which covers all remaining sessions through to Easter.
Anyone interested can simply turn up at 6pm on a Sunday accompanied by a parent or guardian although further information is available from the junior co-ordinator, Stuart Baddeley, on 07720 410655 or via email to email@example.com.
