The annual home and away football matches between Barlow Kingston Rovers and a team from Stenhousemuir in Scotland have ended with honours even.
The men from north of the border were defeated 10-1 when they visited north Derbyshire while the Chesterfield Sunday League side lost out when they visited Scotland in April.
The link between north Derbyshire and Stenhousemuir exists because of Barlow KR’s Dave Hattersley.
After a family holiday in the area he became a season ticket holder and progressed to become a director of the Scottish Second Division club.
Plans are already advanced for an exchange visit next year.
