Gallacher at the double


Dronfield Town kept up their challenge for the title with a 5-1 victory over Kinsley Boys.

Kieran Gallacher led the way with a brace, with further goals coming from John Perkins, Dan Wood and Brett Gibbons.

Town remain in second place and have four games in hand over leaders Clipstone.

On Sunday, Town play Clifton at Alfreton Town’s ground in the league cup final. (3pm kick off).

Meanwhile, a much-depleted Dronfield Town Reserves beat Dunkirk 3-1 after falling 1-0 behind.

Battling back for Dronfield were Cal Mawbey with a double while the third was a superb 30 yarder into the top corner from Liam Johnson.

Mikey Shaw and Jamie Willis were outstanding for Town.
