Four soar to win doubles


Superb win doubles from Lauren Hill, Brandon Lewis, Melissa Middleton and Abbie Queenan helped Chesterfield AC mini league athletes to a well deserved win in the fifth Sportshall match at Queen’s Park Sports Centre.

With one match to go the club are leading overall and in the U11G, U13G, U15G and U15B age-groups, but are narrowly behind Amber Valley in the remaining two.

The club has successfully bid for £1,000 from the Derbyshire County Council Sports Action Grant scheme to extend its range of poles for the very successful pole vault squad.

This follows on a recent award by the Mansfield Building Society of £295 for the same purpose.
