“He just had a little scan, looking at a bit of neural pain,” said the manager.

“It’s referred pain, a bit of tightness in his hamstring but the scan has come back okay.”

The Town boss, who will seek his third win in seven games when Carlisle visit on Saturday, seems hopeful that he’ll have one of his most experienced operators available.

“He wasn’t able to train today but hopefully it will settle down towards the weekend,” Lester added.
