Town go into this Saturday’s clash against Notts County at Meadow Lane fourth bottom of the National League and two points from safety.

However, the Spireites are unbeaten in three matches and there are encouraging signs they can get out of trouble.

On getting out of the relegation zone, Pemberton said: "I think it would be massive.

"I have been in relegation fights as a player and a coach.

"I have also been in a position where we have just been out of the relegation zone and when you are looking down and teams in the relegation zone are starting to string results together they become edgy.

"We are there so what we are trying to do is get out of it.

"Other people are trying to stay out of it and I think it puts more pressure on them.”
