Jack Lester joined Chesterfield in June 2007 and for six season terrorised opposition defences. Lester scored 94 goals in all competitions, including 85 in 155 league appearances.

And few were as good as his opening strike of a treble that helped demolish local rivals Rotherham on the way to League Two title-winning glory in 2011.

The Spireites were runaway leaders when the two sides clashed and the three points from a 5-0 thumping helped them to the title just a few weeks later.

In front of more than 10,000 fans, the home side were already 2-0 ahead through a headers from Dean Holden and Craig Davies.

Then a minute into first-half stoppage time came this golden goal from Lester.

The wily goalscorer then continued his run towards the penalty area, before checking inside two defenders and lifting his shot over keeper Andy Warrington.

It was a goal to get the crowd off their feet as the champions-elect marched on in style.
