Two recently released Spireites find new clubs for 2016/17

Both Aaron Chapman and Mani Dieseruvwe have signed for new clubs at a lower level than League One.

Chapman has dropped just one division to sign for Accrington Stanley, a club where he is well known thanks to a 2014 loan spell.

Dieseruvwe has joined Kidderminster Harriers, who will take their place in the National League North next season after relegation from the National League.

Stopper Chapman, 26, said he was happy to be returning to play for John Coleman, penning a two-year deal with Accrington Stanley.

Two years ago he joined them on loan from Chesterfield, keeping two clean sheets in three appearances before injuring his ankle.

He said: “It’s strange to be back but it’s nice.

“I wasn’t here for long but I had a good time while it lasted so it’s nice to be back.

“I knew the goalkeepers from last season had gone on to pastures new and the manager gave me a call asking if I was interested in coming back and I was delighted to.

“It was my first taste of league football and on a personal level I felt good playing so for it to be taken away was hard to take and I felt I had some unfinished business here.”

The giant goalkeeper, who was understudy to Tommy Lee at the Proact before his release this summer, will have to fight for the number one shirt at the Crown Ground.

Manager Coleman said: “I think he’s a smashing signing.

“When we had him on loan last time around I couldn’t believe how fortunate we were to have him to be honest.

“It’s a key position and I’m hopeful of bringing another keeper in over the next few days and the aim is to get two good goalkeepers fighting for one place.”

Dieseruvwe is part of an influx of new signings for Kidderminster.

The 21-year-old forward has signed a one-year contract after being made a free agent.

He made 19 appearances last season, scoring once in the Capital Cup and earning two red cards.

He went out on loan to Mansfield Town towards the end of the campaign but despite scoring his first Football League goal, failed to make a significant enough impression on boss Adam Murray in order to win a permanent move.

The 6ft 5ins striker came from the Sheffield Wednesday youth system, having played for Hyde and Fleetwood during loan spells as an Owl.

He is one of several new signings at Aggborough.
